Trying to get a Data Analytics Internship without any knowledge about Data Analytics

1. Unfortunately I won't be defaming or endorsing any brands. So you won't get to know any company names throughout this write-up. Apologies.
2. I had applied for a work from home data analytics Opportunity using one of the Student Internship portal. I have basic knowledge about Data Science but no practical work or portfolio to show off.
3. Firstly, I got through the initial review of the answer of the very famous interview questions. Why should we hire you ? And Why do you want to join ?
4. I don't know any trick. But in my opinion, being Honest is the best way to get through such rounds. I've clearly mentioned what I am capable of doing and why I want to join a Data Analytics firm.
5. Don't try to make your reasons look convincing. Rather convince yourself enough reasonably even before thinking about applying or going into the career of data analytics. This is essential or else you might end up doing something throughout your life which you might never enjoy.
6. I have a 1 year experience of working as a Research Consultant at a Quantitative Finance company. This is not purely data science but surely shows my aptitude level. I had used it in my favour during writing my answers.
7. I have been a Digital Marketer for quite a long time in my earlier college days. One of my 5 blogs has 3000+ per day traffic with 110 paying customers for my educational courses. I did a small background research of the Website of the hirer and found that nobody is doing a Digital Marketing work on it. And yet, they want to do it. This was a great place for me to propose my importance for them if they hire me in any manner. So I've also included this in why they should hire me.
8. Today they told me that they would call me up by somehow they couldn't do it. They had apologized About the same. This is a great opportunity for me to show that I understand their issues of running a Startup as I've myself had run a start-up previously. I took this opportunity to reply to each of their email with positively and in reply they went overboard to wish me luck for my exisiting endeavours.
9. The interview over the phone is now scheduled tomorrow between 10-12 in the morning.
10. I spoke to the founder of the startup and realised that I am one of the rarest of the applicants whom he had personally tried contacting. There are 132 applicants. Hopefully, I might be the only one he tried connecting over phone. Running a Startup has its own priorities, trust me. So, I'm really happy to have earned his time.
11. He did mention during our conversation that he was happy to read my honest answers. Specially 2 things. Firstly, that I only have theoretical knowledge about Data Analytics. Secondly, I had run my own Startup at some point of time in my life.
12. To impress him, i tried asking him questions related to his startup. I also tried suggesting how he should approach their digital marketing strategy ( as I am an expert digital marketer ). He was impressed and told me to guide his set of interns who would be working for digital marketing front of his company.
13. I did also share my present annual package for the part time work which I do as a Quantitative Finance Strategist. He was shocked to know about it and told me why I was trying to enter a startup for such a low amount of salary when I already have such a great work with such a high salary package. I tried justifying myself honestly including the fact that I am not even looking for any salary at all. All I want in the initial guidance to venture into world of Data Analytics. As I really lack Experience to live data science projects.
14. The conversation ended on a happy note, hopefully this will continue to be a long term relationship for me as well as him. He was not happy to know that I am not in my final year. As he was looking for long term employees. To his concern, I replied that he must first try to know morr about me and then decide if I should be a permanent hire for his company. Since, a lot of time is left we can figure this out as time passes.
